Derek married Amy Foster in 1994 and they have three children; Moira (8), Mason (6), and Meril (3). Even before full-time ministry, Derek had always been active in the creative arts and public speaking. While a student at Olivet Nazarene University, he spent his time outside of class speaking and singing in churches on weekends and during the summer. He moved to Nashville, TN in 1991 and worked on productions for Disney, Opryland, MGM Studios, Universal Studios, Sesame Street, Nickelodeon and others. After 8 years in children’s, youth, and associate ministry, God called Derek and Amy to imaginatively shepherd the people on the North East side of Atlanta at Harvest Community in Lilburn, Georgia. The Mitchell’s prayer for Harvest: that God would share his love for the world through the people at Harvest.

Serving in this role since 2001, Jennifer has marveled at the tremendous opportunity that God has given her to help train young believers while still using both her educational and professional backgrounds. Jennifer received a Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in Curriculum and Development from Trevecca Nazarene University. She then served for 8 years in the financial industry in the areas of professional training and human resources. Jennifer and Floyd have been married for 14 years and have 4 children: Andrew (10), Katie (7), Sarah (3), and Natalie (2 months). It is her great desire that the children of Harvest would learn how to know, love, trust, and serve God through a personal, saving relationship with Him.
